David Warther is a master wood carver with an amazing trick up his sleeves. Watch him create a working set of pliers by only making 10 cuts into this single piece of wood. (Skip to 1:20)
Wow! These pliers are actually little gifts that they hand out to children who visit the Warther Museum of woodcarving in Dover, Ohio. The museum is dedicated to David’s father Ernest “Mooney” Warther, who was a master carver in the 1920s. Some of his works are on display in the Smithsonian, but I think these simple pliers might be the most impressive piece of all!
