Today, I found a gray hair.
I found a new line on my face, dimples in my skin, a stretch mark on my belly. I found tired eyes, achy muscles and a brain that desperately needed to be recharged. I found a body that had forever been transformed by the exalting title of Mother.
But I also found a strong, able, healthy body. I found a head of hair that gets crowned with a princess crown every day from my daughter. A face that can smile with true joy. I found arms that can wrap around my loved ones. I found legs that can run and crawl on the floor with my kids. I found a belly that gets full on healthy food daily, eyes that get to see the beauty in the world and a brain that stores beautiful family memories each day.
Take heart, you’re beautiful mother.
So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. – 2 Corinthians 4:16

Today, I found a dirty house.
I found a house exploding with pink princesses and giant contraptions made to hold tiny babies. I found tiny hand-prints on my windows, dusty floors, dirty dishes and laundry that needs to be washed, folded and put away. I found a home that needs repairs and cleaning. But I also found a dry roof over our head, shelter and a place where we say our prayers every night. I found a home that’s lived in. A home my children are growing up in. A dwelling where we love, laugh and make memories. I found a place where I brought both of my babies home to. A home that I can truly call home because of the people in it and the memories we share.
Take heart, you’re beautiful home.
By wisdom a house is built, and by understanding it is established; By knowledge the rooms are filled with all precious and pleasant riches. – Proverbs 24:3-4
Today, I found a toddler having a tantrum.
I found a little girl bursting with emotions. I found a crying baby who desperately needed a nap, but wouldn’t give up the fight. I found a pile of tiny clothes a mountain high that needed to be folded, toys beneath my feet and diapers that needed to be changed. But I also found two breathing, thriving children whom I can hold, love and mother. I found two girls who desperately need their mother and a mother who greatly adores them. I found games we can play, songs we can sing and child-like joy in my heart. I found an utmost privilege in being in trusted with their lives and well-being.
Take heart, you’re beautiful children.
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward. – Psalm 127:3
Today, I found a body full of beautiful imperfections, a messy home full of love, laughter and flaws.
I found two children who light up when they see their mother and a mother’s happiness that is simply irreplaceable.
Worth every scar, imperfection and change that I can ever endure.
I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world. – John 16:33
